Did you know that eating junk food, staying up late, and continuous staring at the mobile screen can result in a number of eyes issues? Yes, they can. It is better to stop these habits right away.

I know each of you fully understands the importance of eyes and there is no need for me to help you with that. But unknowingly some of you are indulged in habits that can damage your eyes.

Here in this blog, I will be sharing 5 bad habits that might make your eyes more prone to diseases.

Here we go:

#1 Continuous Exposure to Sun

Let me ask a question here, how many of you apply Sun Screen Lotion while going out in Sun? I guess every one of you.

And why you apply that because you know that sun can damage your skin. In a similar way, the sun can damage your eyes too.

So, always wear a good quality Sunglasses whenever you step out in sun. No matter, what is the time and what is the weather, summers or winters, don’t forget to wear your sunglasses – your eyes protection shield.

#2 Bad Eating Habits

How many of you have heard that green vegetables are very good for your eyes? Yeah, this is absolutely true.

Junk food only gives taste and it is very bad for your stomach, skin, and eyes.

Green leafy vegetables are full of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that can save your eyes from degenerative eye diseases.

So, start eating green veggies every day and see the wonders on your skin and eyes.

#3 Staring at Digital Screens

Do you know that digital screens emit blue light that is very dangerous for your eyes? Continuous staring at mobile screens or TV screens can cause blurred vision and headaches.

If you are at work where you can’t avoid working on a computer screen, give your eyes rest for 30 seconds every one hour.

And after working 8 hours on a computer screen, don’t burden your eyes watching TV or a cell phone.

#4 Too Much Eye Makeup

We know makeup is something females can’t ignore or avoid but misusing or overusing eye-makeup can have an adverse effect on your eyes.

Don’t apply eye pencils or liners close to your lashes; it can result in blocking glands which can result in an eye infection.

Use good quality makeup and remove it every night before going to bed.

#5 Not Going for Regular Eye Check-up

Regular eye check-up can help you in detecting eye diseases or other related issues. So, go for eye check-up before things get worst with your eyes.

There are few eye diseases such as glaucoma that does not often show symptoms but results in loss of vision permanently all of the sudden.

So, choose a good eye doctor and appoint your eye check-up today.
